This modern mountain home was just remodeled and sits on over 2 acres. It is nestled in an aspen forest making it the perfect place to get away from it all, yet it is less than 5 miles from the heart of Telluride and only 3 miles to the free Mountain Village parking garage with ski-in/ski-out access and a free gondola that drops you right into Telluride **The space** When architect Jack Young designed this home he had a clear goal to bring the outside in. With the 20' walls of floor-to-ceiling windows, it feels like you are in a treehouse. The towering walls of glass allow you to fully appreciate the surrounding aspen forest and killer views of the iconic Wilson's Peaks. These famous mountains are the same mountains pictured in the Coors Light logo. This 2700 sq ft home has 2 private bedrooms and 2 baths with a “3rd bedroom” that is a loft area located in the master bedroom. The flexible sleeping options provide space for up to 8 people including children. However, with the layout, we recommend no more than four to six adults to maximize your comfort. The updated kitchen features high end appliances such as a 36” Wolf cooktop, and Liebherr built-in fridge. It is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and cooking utensils needed to cook a gourmet meal. We provide a drip coffee maker with Starbucks coffee beans, basic spices and cooking oil. The master suite has a private entrance and hot tub access, an ensuite bathroom, a jacuzzi bathtub, a king bed, a desk, and a loft space with a second king bed. This loft space is considered "Bedroom 3," so the Master bedroom and loft combined can sleep 4. The second bedroom also has a king bed with a sitting area and spa-inspired bathroom with a steam shower across the hall. There are two daybeds in the main hallway that convert into twin beds to sleep two additional people. We have recently installed A/C which is rare in Telluride, but is a huge plus on hot summer afternoons. In the winter, there is not a more cozy place to stay. With in-floor heating in the living room and bathroom, two gas furnaces with whole house humidifiers, wood stove and tons of solar gain from the windows you will be cozy even when the temp drops below zero. There is a Sonos music system throughout the house that is also tied into the high fidelity 2-channel electrostatic speaker system in the living room. There is over $10,000 worth of audio/video equipment in our house, so your ears will be happy! Outside there is a brand new 6 person hot tub and a new a Webber propane grill. **Guest access** Our guests have full access to our entire two acre property as well as the surrounding nature preserve and neighborhood hiking trails. **Other things to note** There are no blinds on any of the windows. However, being on two acres surrounded by a dense aspen forest the house is still very private. There is another small house on the property that shares a driveway and parking area, but it is positioned so that there is still complete privacy. There are NO shared common outdoor spaces between the two houses. There are only two private bedrooms, the “3rd bedroom” is located in the loft of the Master suite. This loft requires climbing a ladder to access and has low ceilings, so it is generally recommended for older kids and teens, but may not be comfortable for adults and may not be safe for young kids. We provide a enough disposable items for a typical weekend stay, if you are staying longer or think you may need more of these items, please bring extra for your trip. Here is what we provide : 1 bag of ground Starbucks coffee for our drip coffee maker, coffee filters, 2 rolls of paper towels, 3 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, salt/pepper, cooking oil, cleaning spray, dish soap, laundry detergent for 2-3 loads, full sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and a bundle of firewood for 1-2 fires. Additional firewood can be purchased from the gas station 3 miles away.
